Half Moon Bay Resort Holiday Apartments are situated at Yorkeys Knob, a delighful tranquil location on the northern beaches of Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef.
Your hosts, John and Carolynne, are on-site managers and offer a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

We have 19 fully self contained 1 bedroom apartments which are set in lush tropical gardens opposite the picturesque Half Moon Bay Golf Course. Our complex has a freeform salt water pool with spa pool attached and BBQ area for your enjoyment.

Each apartment comfortably sleeps a maximum of 4 people and have kitchen and laundry facilities, air-conditioning and a private balcony.

We are well-informed of all local tours and activities and can offer excellent advice on tours to suit the individual needs of our guests.

Half Moon Bay Resort is within easy walking distance of local restaurants, the Half Moon Bay Yacht Club and Marina, and the Yorkeys Knob shopping centre.



Half Moon Bay Resort is situated opposite Half Moon Bay Golf Course at Yorkeys Knob. We are a short stroll to Yorkeys Knob Beach which is a safe swimming beach with lifeguard present. During the months of November to June (approximately) there are box jelly fish and irukanji present in our waters, and it is most important to swim within the stinger net enclosure.

Yorkeys Knob is on the Northern Beaches of Cairns just a 10 minute drive from the international and domestic airport, and a 15 minute drive to the city centre itself. The Yorkeys Knob roundabout has all of the major road intersections meeting at it.

Port Douglas is only a 45 minute drive up the scenic Captain Cook Highway, and with a 2½ hour drive you will find yourselves in Cape Tribulation crossing the famous Daintree river where you can spot crocodiles out in the wild.

Going South with just a 2½ hour drive you can find yourself at the grounds of Paronella Park which is a Spanish Castle and gardens built at the turn of the century. Your journey will take you through the Southern townships of Gordonvale and Innisfail. You can enjoy the scenery at the beautiful waterfall circuit on the Tablelands and on your return journey take in the sights of the Josephine Falls and The Boulders.
